Recruitment 101 – How to Recruit Great People for your business	A practical workshop for leaders of SMEs to understand the fundamentals of recruitment and candidate attraction alongside the importance of recruiting the right people for your business. The workshop will involve engaging discussion and activities which will give participants an action plan for recruitment.	Next Session TBC
Employee Retention – Ways To Retain Great People	A practical workshop for leaders of SMEs which covers the key drivers of employee turnover and retention.  The workshop will involve engaging discussion and activities which will give participants an action plan for improvement.	Next Session TBC
Stress Awareness and Resilience	This session covers key concepts such as the definitions of positive and negative stress, the development of assertiveness and influence skills, the causes and responses to stress, coping mechanisms, the significance of resilience in daily life, tips for enhancing resilience, and tools for stress reduction. Trading businesses based in Northumberland, Newcastle or North Tyneside with HR/People Management challenges/issues

The Better People Management Programme can only be accessed by a company once per phase. Companies that have accessed the initial phase of the Better People Management Programme (Previously titled the In Work Support Programme), prior to March 2025, are eligible to apply again, however we can only provide support that is completely independent from that provided in the initial phase.
